A monthly meeting to discuss books: nonfiction and fiction, old and new. There is usually a monthly book recommendation, but sometimes we choose to just share whatever the individual participants have been reading.

 

This month's reading: Proto: How One Ancient Language Went Global, by Laura Spinney (2025). The author traces the spread of an ancient language, called Proto-Indo-European, which spread from an area between Europe and Asia and spawned offspring languages worldwide.
