Join us for a delightful day in the heart of Amish Country as we travel to Beautiful Holmes County for a visit to the famous Miller's Bakery! Known for its homemade breads, fresh pastries, pies, and traditional Amish baked goods, this charming bakery offers a true taste of Ohio's countryside.

 

After visiting the bakery, we will travel to Serpent Mound for an Archeological Tour. Step back in time and explore one of Ohio's most fascinating historic treasures! Come out for an educational and scenic trip to Serpent Mound, located in beautiful Adams County.

 

Recognized as one of the world's most remarkable effigy mounds, Serpent Mound stretches over 1,300 feet and is believed to have been built by ancient Indigenous cultures. During our guided archeological tour, participants will learn about the mound's history, culture significance, and the theories surrounding its construction. 

 

Transportation will be provided. We will depart from the CRC at 10 AM. Please be at the CRC by then if you plan to ride with us.

 

Please pack a lunch. We will have lunch together in the picnic area at Serpent Mound once we arrive after visiting Miller's Bakery.

 

We will be doing a lot of walking, so please wear comfortable shoes and dress according to the weather.

 

If you are interested in this event RSVP. There is a charge of $8 per vehicle for admission. The sooner we know how many will be attending; we can better understand what the cost will be per person.
